Grandma Helen's Chocolate Lush

1 cup flour
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or nuts of your choice
1/2 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 (16 oz.) whipped topping
2 small pkg. chocolate instant pudding
3 cups milk
chopped nuts, optional

Mix together butter, flour and nuts.  Put in a 9x13 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes.  Cool.  Soften cream cheese and mix with 1 cup Cool Whip and powdered sugar.  Spread over crust.  Mix pudding and milk until pudding consistency.  Spread over the 2nd layer.  Spread remaining Cool Whip over the top and sprinkle with nuts if desired.  Chill.
